Rent Increase — Massachusetts

Massachusetts requires at least 30 days’ notice (Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 186, § 12 ↗). A rent increase on a tenancy at will legally requires terminating the old tenancy and offering a new one: 30 days or one full rental period, whichever is longer.
