Rent Increase — District of Columbia
District of Columbia requires at least 60 days’ notice (D.C. Code § 42-3509.04(b) ↗). 60 days' written notice (D.C. Law 25-65, eff. 11/28/2023). Most DC units are rent-stabilized: increases are capped (generally CPI-based) and must be filed with the Rental Accommodations Division.
Some states restrict which delivery methods are valid — check the statute referenced on your notice.
