Rent Increase — California
California requires at least 30 days’ notice (Cal. Civ. Code § 827(b) ↗). 30 days if the increase (with all increases in the prior 12 months) is 10% or less; 90 days if more than 10%. AB 1482 caps increases at 5% + CPI (max 10%) for covered units.
