Lease Non-Renewal / Termination — California
California requires at least 60 days’ notice (Cal. Civ. Code § 1946.1(b) ↗). 60 days' notice; 30 days only if ALL tenants have lived in the unit less than 1 year (§ 1946.1(c)). AB 1482 just-cause rules restrict no-fault terminations for covered units.
Used to apply California’s tenancy-length notice tiers.
Some states restrict which delivery methods are valid — check the statute referenced on your notice.
